Children’s Hobbies Photoshoots: Great Memories for an Even Greater Cause

Children are as individual as the snowflakes that fall from the English sky. Each child has their own likes and dislikes as well as their preferred hobbies and passions. As parents, we love to take photos of our children partaking in their hobbies but, unfortunately, as they get older it gets harder and harder to capture good photographs of these special moments.

As they age, children just don’t want to sit still and smile for photographs. After all, there are much better things for today’s children to do. Video games, sleeping, staring blankly at the bedroom wall — anything is better than posing for mam and dad.

That’s where we come in to save the day.

Hobbies Are Important

At Village Photography, we understand how important hobbies are for children’s development — that’s why we offer children’s hobbies photoshoots! These inclusive photoshoots are family-friendly and great for preserving the joy that a child’s favourite hobby brings them.

Our professional, fully-inclusive photoshoots are ideal for kids who are 6-16 years old. The best part is that hobbies photoshoots can include just about anything! Your child’s photoshoot can feature everything from swimming, sports, dance, cooking, art, and horseback riding. In fact, scooters and motorbikes can be brought along too, as long as the fuel tank has been emptied prior to arriving at the studio to avoid any unfortunate fuel-related accidents.

Children can bring a range of accessories relating to their chosen hobby – everything they need to accurately showcase their hobby.

Aside from living horses, which are adorable but much too big for the studio, the sky’s the limit when it comes to props. Encourage your children to wear their sports uniforms or swimsuits, bring their basketball or football, or tote along with their artist easel and paintbrush or their flute, drum set, or guitar.

They can even bring any awards, certificates, or trophies that they might have earned over the years! Whatever it is that they’re proud of, we want to see. So, with these items in combination with your child’s sunny smile and delightful disposition, each photo shoot is unique and produces an array of photos worthy of framing and displaying.

For A Good Cause

On top of being a great experience, having your child participate is for a good cause. With each child’s £10 donation, you’re helping to support two local charities, 4Louis and The Charlie & Carter Foundation. 4Louis works to support families and mothers who have been affected by stillbirth, miscarriage, and the loss of a child while The Charlie & Carter Foundation provides financial help to families of critically ill children. 100% of every donation goes to these fantastic causes.

In addition to participating in a hobbies photo shoot, children are automatically signed up for the North East Hobbies Portrait Competition, where they favorite image from their shoot is entered into the competition.

There are three generous prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
